Never Underestimate the Value of Small Beginnings

Updated: Sep 22, 2021

One thing I have learned in business is never to despise small beginnings.

I was scrolling through my phone earlier today when I came across some pictures from my first Business Mentorship Program last year.

I remember starting at home.

I remember starting with only five persons.

I started with an imperfect program for four intense weeks of mentorship and it was one of the best decisions that I made. I wasn't aware of the online space like how I am today and never knew that I could actually launch and build a profitable business.

Looking back really brings back good memories to see where I would have started, how far I've come, where I'm at now, and where I'm headed.

Do not despise small beginnings, because it's in those small beginnings that you actually get to learn many lessons of great value. It is in those small beginnings that you actually get to build the foundation and you get to set the standard for what you want to accomplish in your business.

Many people are out there making noise and there's a lot of it.

Last year it was about five-figure businesses and six-figure businesses and then it was the seven-figure business fever. Now the craze is all about eight-figure businesses.

There will always be the desire for more and there's nothing wrong with that because in life you shouldn't just settle.

But wherever you're at right now, be grateful and give thanks!

People who despise small beginnings tend to get caught in a trap of discontentment so they end wanting more and more before losing everything. I got my online coaching business started in the middle of a world crisis. I started with the famous five (who were not my ideal client) but I did it to get my feet wet!!! Since then I would have revamped and relaunched the program and reaped successful results with my ideal clients.

I will leave you with a few pieces of advice,

Appreciate your journey, appreciate where you're at and know that there's nothing wrong with having a small beginning.

Take the time to build your foundation - one that is solid and will stand.

Client can always tell if your product or service was created with them in mind. When your product or service is created around your customer's needs it will fit like a glove.

Positioning is the art of gunnery. You have to position yourself in front of your ideal audience in order to be found.

Your ideal customers will value and appreciate what you have to offer so be sure to start with what you have now, and build your brand.

And never, ever despise small beginnings.
